The Wisconsin Center for Nursing (WCN) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that was created by the Wisconsin State Legislature to engage nurse and healthcare.

Organizations, public and private academic programs, government agencies and related service providers to work together as collaborative partners in an effort to ensure an adequate, competent and diverse nursing workforce for the people of Wisconsin.

Our mission is to critically assess and monitor nursing workforce and education with a focus on under-represented groups and leadership development.

​The work of the center also strives to improve health and achieve health equity by impacting policy through nursing leadership, practice, and innovation. Throughout the Coronavirus Pandemic, the Center’s focus has been centered on:

Protecting and providing informed care to our most vulnerable populations.
Support nurses and healthcare providers.
Advancing social justice through the power of nurses.
