Grace Century's portfolio company, The Quantum Group, and its sister Quantum Innovations, Inc. have announced that they have been awarded the 15th patent of their portfolio.
Named "System and Method for Personalized Fast Navigation," it has successfully completed all reviews, and is in the process of being issued. This 14-page patent was originally filed as a "Continuation in Process," or the functional extension of U.S. Patent No. 8,762,884 granted to Quantum in 2014. The number and issue date of the newly granted patent will be determined shortly.
Noel Guillama, CEO of The Quantum Group explains, "This patent is part of a series, both issued and still pending before the USPTO, that are designed to provide innovations in the use of Electronic Health Records (EHRs). These innovations are also practical and valuable to many other non-healthcare applications. In a progressively complexed, hyper data-driven world, we need tools and mechanisms to move information faster, while at the same time understanding it and documenting it better. Our new patent helps in all those areas."
Scott Wolf, CEO of Grace Century adds, "As the original group of patents implemented the icons found on the dashboard of Quantum's EMR platform PWeR™, this patent goes a step further in allowing the healthcare provider the ability to instantaneously search the entire file at a click of a mouse, providing data at an unprecedented speed." Wolf adds, "We see this as invaluable in today's electronic world, as healthcare continues to embrace technology."
