Medical Surgical Nursing Conference

The conference was first held in 1990, the brainchild of a group of volunteer nurse educators who wanted to contribute to the professional growth of bedside nurses working in the med-surg specialty. Their mission was to provide an opportunity for these nurses to update their knowledge, to network with one another, and to have an occasion to celebrate their profession.

The mission of the succeeding conferences has remained unchanged but over the years the participant base has broadened to include nurses from around the nation and even international attendees. Amazingly, some of the educators involved in the very first event remain on the planning committee for the 2018 conference.
